Husband and wife team Jose and Elana Martins developed the concept for A Touch of Radiance from the need for a full service salon in the Dartmouth neighbourhood.
Elana, Master EstheticianCMP, specializing in advanced and diabetic pedicure as well as specializing in Holistic Facials and internal wellness, insisted that the services, the equipment, the product offerings, and the salon itself would be of the highest quality possible, and with that in mind, she and husband Jose built A Touch of Radiance.
With the opening of A Touch of Radiance in 2012, Dartmouth and surrounding area clients enjoy a complete range of todays most advanced treatments and services offered in a relaxing, and clean friendly atmosphere.

TAYLOR WALLACE
STYLIST
Taylor has been working at A Touch of Radiance since 2014, after graduating from the Hair Design Center in 2013. Taylor has many years of experience, and it shows in her work. She loves working with all kinds of different hair types and hair colors! She specializes in Balayage, foils and many other hair services. Taylor is extremely knowledgeable with hair, and will walk you through her entire process so you feel at ease in her chair.
KYLA MACDONALD
MASTER STYLIST
Kyla started at A Touch of Radiance June 2022. She has spent her whole 23 years as a stylist right in Cole Harbour. She became a Master Stylist 14 years ago and has continued to educate with numerous classes and courses and is always up for trying something new. Color has always been a favorite to her! Foils, balayage, full color, you name it, she will do it. She also specializes in updo's and formal hair.
In her spare time she is an avid sport mom to her teenage daughter and has two fur babies (Goldendoodles) who love to keep her busy.
LEAH PARKS
NAIL TECHNICIAN
In 2017 Leah walked in to A Touch of Radiance and began her career in gel enhancements. She graduated from the Nail Technician program at Eastern Esthetics Career Collage in 2016. Leah’s passion for art truly show’s in her work, and looks at nails as a canvas. She is very creative when it comes to thinking up ideas and is up for any challenge! She loves to spend her days caring for her plants and her beautiful gardens, spending time with her husband and playing with her fur baby, Chester.
DESTINY HILCHIE
ESTHETICIAN
Destiny came to us to do her work placement in 2019 and has never looked back. Once she graduated from the Esthetics Program at the Hair Design Center in Halifax in 2019, she had felt that her career home was at A Touch of Radiance. Destiny loves anything and everything skin related, and offers multiple different services from facials along with manicures, pedicures and waxing. She is very passionate in the work she does and loves learning new things.
